hi i’m missy…
and I am constantly looking to simplify my life. Not in the declutter or clean up the knickknacks way, (if you’ve been to my house you know what’s up) but in the looking to simplify what I see and translate it to a visual manner. I’m trying to calm my mind, which is a busy place and living in a world with nonstop stimuli produces a need to create images that calm in their lucidity and intention. I base my paintings on both photos I take while traveling or from memory. Not all the places I paint exist but they all mimic places I love to be.
